Retaining Walls
We are often asked, “What is a retaining wall?” & “Why do we need one?” Upgrade Landscape retaining wall experts desire to fully explain retaining wall structures. The principal purpose of a retaining wall is to bind soils between two different elevations. The retaining wall structure is engineered or planned to resist lateral pressure of soil that exceeds the angle of repose when elevations are changed.
As experts, Upgrade Landscape retaining wall designers will consider proper design, necessary permits, and construction of retaining walls. Retaining wall experts will recognize the challenges of the terrain, the retaining wall materials needed, and the proper installation based on factory certification, recommendations, and expertise.
Stone Paving
Upgrade Landscaping paver installation is commonly used in exterior hardscaping such as patios, walkways, driveways, pool decks, and loading docks. The technical name is block paving, but pavers is the common name used by home and business owners. Upgrade Landscaping has installed thousands of square feet of pavers or interlocking paving stones and will be glad to price your project today.
Upgrade Landscaping paver patios, walkways, and driveways are installed according to manufacturer recommendations and certifications, but to get an idea of the process, Upgrade Landscaping paver experts will explain the process: Patios and walkways made out of pavers will be laid on top of a rock sub-base and a leveling bed of sand. Commonly known grout is not used in paver laying, but the joints are filled with either regular sand or a locking sand which acts very similar to grout. Paver patios and walkways are more flexible and resistant to cracking and environmental conditions, since their joints are more elastic than grout.
